How Epoxy Floors Naples Works
Epoxy Floors Naples puts resin coatings on concrete across Naples and Collier County. Most of our work is garages, but we also coat lanais, pool decks, laundry rooms, home gyms, condo storage rooms and the floors of shops, warehouses and service businesses. We install epoxy, polyaspartic, decorative chip and metallic systems, and we choose among them only after we have seen and tested the slab.
Coastal Southwest Florida is hard on floor coatings in ways that have little to do with cold. The problems we plan around are moisture rising through the slab, wet air during installation, sunlight on surfaces that face west or sit outdoors, and grit tracked in from the beach and the street. A condo garage, a canal-front home with a boat trailer and a pool deck that bakes all afternoon each call for a different build, so we decide the system on site and write it into the quote.
What a job with us looks like
- The visit. We come to the property, measure the floor and take moisture readings in more than one spot.
- The inspection. We check for leftover paint or sealer, oil, cracks, spalled joints, low areas that hold water and any sign that water has entered the space before.
- The quote. Your price comes in writing and spells out the system, how many coats, each prep step, any repairs and the total.
- The prep. We diamond grind, vacuum and repair the floor so the first coat grips sound, porous concrete.
- The weather check. Ahead of every coat we check the slab temperature against air temperature and dew point, and we wait when the readings say conditions are off.
- The handover. We tell you when the floor can take foot traffic, furniture and vehicles, based on the product and the conditions that day.
If the scope changes once we start, for example because grinding exposes a crack we could not see, we explain it and put the change in writing for you to approve before doing the extra work.
Floors we turn down
We do not coat a slab that is wet from an active leak, a floor that floods every time it rains, or concrete with structural cracking. A coating cannot fix those problems and will fail on top of them. When we find one, we say so at the estimate and you decide what to do next.
We also work with condo and homeowner associations. Many Naples communities need board or management approval before work starts in a garage or common area, and we provide product data sheets, a written scope and a schedule for that review.
